Winterhawks Win Over Clinton

Saugeen Shores | by John Divinski

The Winterhawks will put their undefeated string on the line Friday

The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks remain undefeated in WOAA Sr. Hockey.

The Hawks go to 7 and 0, with a 4-0 shutout win over the always dangerous Clinton Radars.

Goalie Jeff Flagler picked up the shutout, turning aside 30 shots in the game.

Head coach Matt Turcotte says everyone played a good game and when the Radars did get some breaks, Flager was there to make the saves.

Miles MacLean led the way with 2 goals, with singles to Connor Patton and Bryan Kazarian.

The Kazarian marker was his 100th goal as a Winterhawk.

Coach Turcotte says Kazarian means a lot to the team and it showed last year, when he was hurt in the playoffs "and it made a huge difference" to the Hawks fortunes.

The Winterhawks will put their undefeated string on the line Friday, November 15th, when they host the Shelburne Muskies at the Plex.

Gametime will be 8:30pm.
